O site oficial do Doom 3 foi lançado, um site em flash, excelente, com muita informação e um ambiente bastante dark.

Outra das novidades do Doom 3 é o motor ter largado o peer-to-peer e ter passado a ambiente cliente-servidor. De acordo com Robert Duffy (programador da id Software):
RD: The primary reason is that, due to a variety of things, it was next to impossible to keep all the clients in perfect synchronization. That’s a short answer to a difficult problem, but that’s the bottom line of why we went with a new client-server architecture. @ GameSpy
Confirmado já pela id Software está o lançamento para dia 5 de Agosto (“Retailers in the States will be allowed to pick up games starting at 12:01 AM on August 3rd. The official street date is actually August 5th in the U.S.A.“) e a primeira competição oficial de Doom 3 (com 128 slots) na edição deste ano da QuakeCon.
No “diz que disse” anda o boato que a CPL World Tour 2005 irá ser com Doom 3… Será?
